The journaling, using PS font Charlemagne Std., says 'One of the great joys we have since the whole family moved under one roof is seeing more of grandson, Andre. We had a wonderful day at the pumpkin patch, picking the perfect pumpkin, seeing the farm animals and slipping in the mud.'

Thanks for looking. Be sure to check out all of Georgia's lovely kits at Digitals!

Thanks

Thank you goth_kittie13 over at Deviant Art and thanks to the talented designer who made 'wlop_autumnmeadow' for the bones to build my October banner. I downloaded 'Autumn Meadow' who knows where and cannot find the TOU ....If you the designer find this, please comment so that I can give proper credit!! It is a wonderful kit full of gorgeous images. I will keep searching and will try to find the link so everyone can check it out. And if anyone else can help me out with the ID for this, please comment. I would appreciate it.

"Max Hopkins & Carrie Quipp Underhill's home that they built themselves. They lost it in the Great Depression for a $3000 debt. Watchung, Somerset, NJ."

This LO is special. The pictures are of the home my grandparents built themselves and then lost in the Depression. The bank called in the mortgage of $3000. When "better off" family members refused to help, they lost their home and business, a laundry they built behind the house. My grandfather committed suicide the next year. Not a happy story, but one that just comes rolling forth when I look at these photos.

The background paper is a copy of an actual letter from that grandfather's grandmother sent to his mother, Anna Hopkins Underhill, in 1839. I used a paper from Misty Cato's 'Frosted' kit, and elements from Shabby Princess 'Holiday Sampler', J. Baechtold's 'Essence' and Correen Silke's 'Unplanned Outing'.

My son Tim and my grandson Miles, both softies :D I used Amanda Thorderson's 'Count Your Blessings' elements and the background paper is from Dea Spina's 'Burnt Sienna'. (Two of my favorite designers...)

We'll see just how many new tricks this old dog can learn ! Thanks to all who have encouraged me in my designs and work. I am truly grateful to everyone who has gone before me.
